Stephen D. Craig, M.D.
Dr. Stephen D. Craig, an Idaho native, is a board-certified Dermatologist with the American Board of Dermatology. He received his medical training at the University of Utah, graduating in the top 5% of his class. He completed his internship at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, and was Chief Resident in Dermatology at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University. He also served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Major. Dr. Craig opened North Idaho Dermatology in 1999 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to serve the needs of patients in North Idaho, Eastern Washington and Western Montana. Dr. Craig specializes in treating all age groups and a full range of dermatological conditions. He is married to Julie and has four children. In his spare time he enjoys family, fishing and Civil War history.

Richard A. Flygare, PA-C, Ph.D
Richard A. Flygare, PA-C, Ph.D, joined the professional staff of North Idaho Dermatology in September 2000 and has been practicing since 1996. Richard received his bachelor degree in health sciences from Brigham Young University, and his Masters degree in clinical medicine from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his doctorate in health sciences at Touro University International in September, 2008, and is a diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. He provided full-time dermatology care at Fairchild AFB while serving with Stephen Craig, M.D., our chief of staff. Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Richard is also an accomplished videographer who enjoys creating independent films.

Shannon K. Armstrong, NP
Shannon K. Armstrong joined North Idaho Dermatology in 2002. She is a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatology, laser and cosmetic procedures. She received both her BSN and MSN from Washington State University. She previously taught for the Intercollegiate Nursing School at Washington State University and worked at a local hospital. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. In her spare time she likes to scrapbook, read and run.
Lura Brown, P.A.-C.
Lura Brown, PA-C, joined North Idaho Dermatology in 2007. She earned her BA at Trinity College of Vermont and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Rocky Mountain College in Montana. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Lura enjoys biking (both road and mountain), water sports, skiing, snowshoeing and fly fishing. She also enjoys dance, travel and learning her guitar.

J. Aaron Nicholes, MBA
J. Aaron Nicholes is the Executive Administrator of North Idaho Dermatology. He joined the practice in 2000. He received his Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from Brigham Young University-Hawaii Campus in 1993 and his Master of Management from Willamette University in 1995. He enjoys studying World War II history, cooking, and spending time with family.
